Tell me more about the EA Online Study Questions and EA Exam Practice Tests

Both the EA Exam Online Study Questions and EA Exam Practice Tests provide a selection of online questions that students use to prepare for the exam.  They are both drawn from the same pool of more than 1,000 questions.
The online questions are designed as follows:
  • Student reads question.
  • Student answers question.
  • Student is advised if they answered the question correctly, and the correct answer is provided if necessary.
  • Student is provided with a full explanation to the correct answer.

EA Exam Online Study Questions present 25 questions for each attempt.  Explanations are provided immediately after each question.  These questions help students understand the material.
EA Exam Practice Tests consist of 100 questions for each attempt.  Explanations are not provided until all questions have been answered.  These tests simulate the actual exam experience.

What is the difference between the Study Guide and Online Practice Questions?

Think of the Study Guide as a printable textbook. Hundreds of pages for each section of the exam, the Study Guides provide an explanation of the many tax topics tested on the Enrolled Agent Exam. At the end of each section, students have a chance to apply their knowledge with questions and answers relevant to the exam topics.
Think of the Online Practice Questions as an online guided learning experience. All that is required is an internet connection. The Online Questions provide a unique way to learn by showing the questions online and providing immediate feedback. Students answer the question and immediately are given feedback on the correctness of their answer. At the same time, an explanation to the correct is answer is shown to the student.

What is your pass rate?

Examination scores are confidential and will be revealed only to the candidate. Consequently, we do not know what the results are for our students. We could ask them how they did, but many would not respond for one reason or another. When you see pass rates published by a provider, healthy skepticism is warranted.

How hard is it to pass the EA exam?

A student’s tax knowledge is key. Those who have some tax knowledge to start with have a better chance than someone without past experience and knowledge.
The IRS has published pass rates. In general, here are the most recent approximate pass rates.
Part 1 75%
Part 2  60%
Part 2 85%

Why is Our Study Material Less Expensive Than Our Competitors?
  • Since we started over 5 years ago, our objective has been to assist the tax preparer community by providing quality material at a reasonable price.
  • We are a small company. It is challenging for us to produce the number of questions that our competitors offer. Our competitors offer quality product just like us. Often, they provide more questions, for more money. It is up to each student to decide how much is enough.
  • Our product is perfect for two groups.
o Those with tax knowledge to begin with. Many tax preparers are already quite knowledgeable.
  • Our smaller product is a great fit for this group.
o Those who don’t want to be stuck with only one choice when studying.
  • At our low prices, students can use our study material as a supplement to another alternative.

Even though we have fewer questions than some competitors, that does not mean we have not been thorough.  Our study guides have been developed based on the IRS Enrolled Agent Exam test specifications.  Most of our questions are based primarily on old Enrolled Agent Exams, which is quite common.

In other words, do we provide enough material to prepare and pass the exam?  The answer is a resounding YES!
